Martin Langaas, PT,
OMT.
Program Director
A founding member of the IOMT and the director of clinical education
at Orthopaedics Plus. Mr. Langaas has over 20 years of clinical
experience in orthopaedic manual therapy. He was graduated from
Physical Therapy College in Berlin, Germany, after which he returned
to his native Norway to train under Olaf Evjenth, one of the most
respected leaders in the field of manual therapy and the co-developer
of the Kaltenborn-Evjenth Concept.
During his six years
with Professor Evjenth, Mr. Langaas completed three-and-one-half
years of post-graduate study at the OMT residency program in
Oslo. Other contributors to this internationaly renowned institute
were Hans Gunnari, Freddy Kaltenborn, and Vladimir Janda (guest
lecturer). Mr. Langaas has taught with professors Evjenth and
Kaltenborn in Australia and the United States, where he has
been teaching the Norwegian System since 1990. He has been certified
as a Kaltenborn-Evjenth instructor by the International Seminar
of Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy (ISOMT), and is a full fellow
of the AAOMPT.
William Antonelli,
PT, OMT.
Associate
Program Director
A founding member of the IOMT and co-founder of Orthopaedics Plus,
where he is a director of treatment. Orthopaedics Plus. Mr. Antonelli
has been trained by Mr. Langaas and helps teach the Norwegian
System of orthopaedic manual therapy to new students under his
direction.
A graduate of the
University of Lowell, Mr. Antonelli has extensive post-graduate
education and experience. He received certification in manual
therapy from the Institute of Graduate Physical Therapy in Manual
Therapy, and sucessfully completed the ISOMT certification examination
given by professor Evjenth given in 1996. Mr. Antonelli has
also taught at the University of Lowell and the Institute of
Health Professions at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Vincent Buscemi,
PT, OMT.
Associate
Program Director
A founding member of the IOMT and co-founder of Orthopaedics Plus,
where he is a director of treatment. Orthopaedics Plus. Mr. Buscemi
trained under Mr. Langaas for several years and helps teach the
Norwegian System of orthopaedic manual therapy to new students
under his direction. In addition, Mr. Buscemi sucessfully completed
the ISOMT certification examination given by professor Evjenth
given in 1996.
He has taught at
the University of Lowell and the Institute of Health Professions
at Massachusetts General Hospital. Mr. Buscemi was graduated
from the University of Lowell.
Alan Visnick, PT,
OMT, LAT, C, EdM.
Associate Program Director
A principal and director of treatment at Orthopaedics Plus. He
completed the IOMT's Level I and Level II training under the direction
of Mr. Langaas, and has helped teach the Norwegian System since
1993. In addition, Mr. Visnick sucessfully completed the ISOMT
certification examination given by Professor Evjenth in 1996.
A Graduate of Boston
University, Mr. Visnick has extensive training in manual therapy
and athletic training. He has also taught athletic training
curriculum at Endicott College.
